Question: (Ephesians 2:8-9) Why can't I boast about salvation? That's the whole point of me believing!

You can't boast of your salvation because it's by the grace of God that you were saved, not what you did or what you deserve. In fact, what Paul's saying here is that Christ died for us when we least deserved it, and offers His salvation as a free gift to all who choose to receive it.
You don't deserve to be saved...none of us do. In terms of deserving, we all deserve to be nailed to the cross, not Jesus. So if you believe so you can boast, then you're backwards.
