Christians converted to Atheism?

Question:  Have you ever heard of anybody who converted FROM Christianity to Atheism? 

My Reply:

Yes, a bunch, actually.  In fact, ironically, I think you'll find that many atheists either grew up in the Church, or were once "Christians" of some form or another, which may be one of the reasons why Christianity is often their main target...they feel the need to disprove or rebel from something they were once part of.

Question:  Is cold the absence of heat, like atheists are the absence of God? 

My Answer:

Atheists are not the absence of God, but atheism is the absence of believing in God's existence. 
As for the absence of God, the Psalmist wrote that no matter where we go, even to the deepest depths of the earth, we can't escape the presence of the Lord.
